What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Financial Planner position at Fortress Financial Partners?
We're hiring an advisor who already has a book of clients who consider you their advisor, not the firm's, not a team's, yours.
An advisor who has stopped waiting for their custodian, CRM, or planning software to catch up. You're already using AI to do the work better: faster prep, sharper analysis, more personalized communication. The off-the-shelf wealth tech stack is a floor, not a ceiling, and you treat it that way.
A portable book. Real client relationships where you are the relationship. We'll want to talk specifics, household count, revenue, retention, the texture of how you work with them.
Active AI use in your practice. Not "I've tried ChatGPT once." We want to hear what you've built, what workflows you've changed, and where AI has measurably improved how you serve clients. If you've hit walls with the standard tools and gone around them, even better.
Multi-discipline fluency. Investments are table stakes. We expect you to be conversant, and ideally credentialed, across insurance, tax planning, and estate planning. You don't have to be the deepest expert in all four, but you have to know when each lever matters.
Clean compliance record. Active Series 7 and 66 (or 65), credentials are nice but not required.
A hybrid RIA/broker-dealer platform built around integrated delivery: investments, insurance, tax, and estate work under one roof.
Fortress Private Ledger, our ensemble-style operating model. The pitch is simple: we solve the day-to-day practice problem so you can spend your time on clients, not on stitching together five vendors.
Compensation tied to actual production, structured to reward what you bring and what you grow.
A team that's already leaning into AI rather than tolerating it. You won't be the only one trying to push the tools further.
Send a short note (not a cover letter) describing your book, one example of an AI workflow you actually use, and what you'd want to know about us before a first conversation.
