Overview
Fortified Brands is looking for an Estimator to join our Estimating team. As part of our Customer Experience and Revenue Enablement organization, you’ll work with our sales team, architects, engineers, and contractors on building projects globally throughout various stages of project design, specification, and approval.
As an Estimator, you’ll rely on your technical knowledge and mathematical aptitude daily to analyze and interpret project plans and materials, estimate accurate material take offs, determine pricing, and create project quotes. You will help to deliver optimized results for a variety of building projects.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with commercial and residential cabinet and countertop design and experience with ornamental perimeter solutions and deck framing.

- Review project plans and specifications
- Perform detailed material takeoffs
- Prepare accurate project estimates
- Develop customer project quotations
- Design cabinet and countertop layouts
- Interpret architectural drawings and blueprints
- Verify project scope and requirements
- Collaborate with sales and customers
- Support specification and approval processes

- Coordinate project revisions and updates
- Maintain estimating documentation accuracy

- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-3 years of estimating experience within the construction or building materials industry
- Experience with commercial and residential cabinet and countertop design, ornamental perimeter solutions and deck framing preferred
- Working knowledge of fabrication and installation is helpful for better understanding of customer needs
- Experience with estimating software, like Chief Architect, DraftSight, etc. and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and other technical materials
- Understanding of how to integrate drawings and specifications into projects
- Must be able to oversee a project from start to completion
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Bilingual – English/Spanish a plus
- Proficiency with NetSuite ERP and CRM, is a plus
