Job Description: Warranty Specialist (Carpenter / Skilled Tradesperson)

Job Summary:
We’re seeking a skilled and reliable Warranty Specialist to join our construction team. This hands-on role is ideal for a seasoned carpenter or multi-skilled handyman who thrives on solving problems and ensuring customer satisfaction. After we complete a construction project, you’ll be responsible for addressing any warranty-related issues that arise within the first year—whether it’s a sticking door, trim repair, or minor structural fixes.
Note: Warranty repairs are not limited to a fixed list. They may include a wide range of tasks across multiple trades, depending on the nature of the project and client needs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve warranty service requests within the 1-year post-construction period
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair issues related to doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, drywall, and other finish carpentry elements
- Measure, mark, and arrange materials based on layout plans or blueprints
- Cut, shape, and join materials using appropriate tools and fasteners
- Install and adjust fixtures, windows, doors, and other components
- Ensure accuracy using levels, framing squares, and other measuring tools
- Adhere to local building codes and safety guidelines
- Maintain clean and safe work environments by removing debris and hazards
- Document service calls and communicate updates to project managers
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and construction professionals to coordinate repairs as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong carpentry skills and general handyman capabilities
- Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
- Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
- Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
- Works well as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
- Successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program; OR at least three years of experience via on-the-job training required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
