Setra Systems is seeking a Pacer-Material Handler to join our dedicated operations team. This individual will need to possess extraordinary organizational and time management skills as they will be tasked with handling and maintaining the flow of materials and products to the staff and locations that they are assigned to. The hours for this full-time position are 8:00A – 4:30P.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Retrieve parts from receiving locations
- Deliver parts to areas where they are needed
- Follow all steps of Standard Work procedures
- Check-in parts received throughout the shift
- Put boxes away as required using manual/power jack
- Perform cycle counts when required
- Perform daily negative on hand report
- Complete audits every Mon, Wed, Fri.
- Monitor boards for hot items and immediate actions
- Pull kit parts for production as needed
- Resize Kanban as required to meet inventory turn goals
Critical Success Factors:
- Completes tasks with minimal supervision
- Continuously 5S focused
- All around team-player and customer focused (both internally and externally)
- Superior organization skills
- Displays a high sense of urgency
- Detail-oriented
- 1 years’ in similar role or in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office
- Capable of learning new computer systems such as those used to receive items (i.e. JDE)
- Ability to read and write English and effectively communicate both verbally and written
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Prior experience utilizing JD Edwards
- High school diploma or equivalent required
