About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to support the delivery of large-scale hyperscale and colocation data center projects across the West Coast. This is an opportunity to join a high-growth organization delivering complex mission-critical infrastructure for leading technology and cloud clients.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and managing project schedules across the full lifecycle of major data center developments — from pre-construction and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
This role requires strong expertise in mission-critical construction environments, with experience managing complex schedules for large capital projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and providing strategic insight into project progress, risks, and recovery plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules for hyperscale and colocation data center developments.
- Support project teams through the full project lifecycle, including:
- Site development
- Design coordination
- Permitting and approvals
- Procurement
- Construction
- Commissioning and turnover
- Own schedule development, updates, forecasting, and reporting using industry-standard planning tools.
- Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, engineers, contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders.
- Analyze critical path activities, identify schedule risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Perform schedule reviews with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor progress against baseline schedules and provide accurate reporting to senior leadership.
- Support change management, delay analysis, and recovery planning.
- Review contractor schedules, productivity metrics, milestones, and project performance.
- Provide insight into project trends, risks, and opportunities to improve delivery timelines.
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in project planning / scheduling within complex construction environments.
- Proven experience supporting data center, hyperscale, colocation, semiconductor, mission-critical, or advanced technology projects.
- Strong understanding of large-scale construction delivery processes.
- Experience managing schedules for projects ranging from 50MW campuses through to hyperscale developments preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with scheduling tools such as:
- Primavera P6
- Microsoft Project
- Power BI (preferred)
- Strong understanding of:
- Critical path methodology
- Schedule risk analysis
- Progress measurement
- Delay analysis
- Recovery scheduling
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, technical documentation, and project specifications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across owners, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
