We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and care options.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (Epic).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the facility, including adherence to ICD-9 coding standards.
- Assist in various settings such as Level II trauma centers, ambulatory surgery centers, and family planning clinics.
- Conduct assessments related to MDS (Minimum Data Set) for appropriate patient care planning.
- Provide specialized care for infants, including monitoring growth and development.
- Stay informed about workers' compensation laws to ensure compliance during patient treatment processes.
Skills
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in patient conditions.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Experience working in a Level II trauma center or ambulatory surgery center is preferred.
- Familiarity with family planning practices and infant care protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
