Summary of Duties:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing curriculum for students in adult education setting.
- Provide instruction on various nursing topics, including acute care, care plans, phlebotomy, documentation review, primary care, nurse management, and nursing administration.
- Create engaging lesson plans and learning materials to facilitate student understanding and application of nursing concepts.
- Conduct classroom lectures, discussions, and interactive activities to enhance student learning and critical thinking skills. Environments can include lab, simulation, classroom, and clinical sites.
- Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, and clinical assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to support their professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and assessment methods.
- Stay updated on current trends and advancements in nursing practice to incorporate into teaching strategies.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
- Active RN license in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Previous teaching experience in higher education.
- Available five-days (Monday-Friday) per week for 40 hours.
- Strong knowledge of adult education principles and teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex nursing concepts to students.
- Ability to remain standing for periods of time (2-4 hours), lift equipment up to approximately 50lbs.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Proficient in using technology, including integration of AI, for instructional and admin purposes.
