Overview
We are seeking skilled Insulators to join our team in preparation of a potential awarded contract at the beginning of next year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining insulation on ships and marine vessels to ensure thermal efficiency, fire protection, and noise reduction. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced shipyard environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and remove insulation materials on pipes, bulkheads, decks, and other ship structures.
- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas accurately.
- Inspect existing insulation for damage and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance required.
- Previous experience as an insulator in a shipyard or industrial setting preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of insulation materials and installation techniques.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in confined spaces.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification is a plus.
