Fortis Behavioral Health is seeking a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dedicated clinical team.
This is a 100% in-office position — the provider is expected to be on-site Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM.
The PMHNP will provide medication management for established patients only — no new patient evaluations or diagnostic assessments. While most visits occur in person, some follow-up appointments are conducted via telehealth, but always from the office.
The provider will work alongside the practice owner (a psychiatric nurse practitioner) and a licensed clinical mental health counselor, with continual access to an offsite collaborative MD for support and consultation.
This position offers a structured schedule, full administrative and clinical support, and a positive, professional work environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct medication-management visits for established patients (no new evaluations or therapy)
- Provide both in-person and telehealth follow-up care from the office
- Collaborate with the practice owner, clinical counselor, and offsite collaborative MD
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Participate in interdisciplinary communication and team meetings
Qualifications
- Active PMHNP certification and North Carolina license
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient psychiatric experience
- Updated CAQH profile
- Current credentialing with most Medicaid plans and several commercial insurers
- Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary plus percentage of paid claims ($115,000 base)
- 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM)
