Summary

The Fortis Bank Client Services Associate is responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming and well-organized experience for our clients and our people. The ideal candidate will be able to undertake a variety of client and office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This individual will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.

Responsibilities

Client Services

  • Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing, and announcing them appropriately.
  • Answering and resolving Client Inquiries that come in via phone calls and e-mails.
  • Perform daily Bank opening procedures and closing procedures.
  • Maintain a bank teller drawer and workstation, performing standard teller transactions for clients as needed.
  • Provide ongoing administrative support to the Client Services team with relation to account servicing, maintenance, and other client service requests.
  • Develop a fundamental understanding of the banking industry, as well as a complete understanding of products and services offered to our clients.
  • Follow all internal policies and procedures to ensure the bank is operating in a compliant manner.

Office Administration

  • Ensure reception area and other office common areas are organized, tidy, and operating effectively.
  • Receive and daily mail and deliveries.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk, including, but not limited to: monitoring a visitor log, issuing visitor badges, and managing parking validations.


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in client service, hospitality, and/or office administration.
  • Embodies the Fortis Bank culture principles and competencies and consistently demonstrates a positive, ambitious, and solution-oriented attitude with clients and team members.
  • Proficient and experienced in Microsoft Office suite products and technology, including but not limited to: Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong ability to adapt to systems and technology, including but not limited to: client relationship management tools, conference room management and teleconferencing systems and tools, banking core systems, and other common office management products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and via e-mail and other chat tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills, regularly demonstrating the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to build strong relationships with senior management, peers, and team members throughout the Bank.
