We are seeking a patent agent or scientific advisor to join our patent team.
Qualifications:
- An advanced degree or 2 years industry experience in life sciences or a related discipline, including one of the following fields: bioengineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, cell biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, genetics, immunology, molecular biology, materials science, physics, or biophysics
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong written and oral communication skills and attention to detail
- Current patent bar membership is required.
- 2 years of firm experience is preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing new client technologies to determine potentially patentable features and working closely with supervising attorneys and the client to pursue patent protection
- Writing patent applications, primarily relating to medical device technology
- Drafting responses to U.S. and foreign patent office rejections
- Analyzing patents in connection with due diligence or freedom to operate analyses, and evaluating patentable subject matter

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $79,632.00 - $184,676.00 per year
