$90,000 – $100,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.

You'll work closely with agents and internal partners to evaluate applications, develop competitive quotes, and help manage the full policy lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate applications for coverage across Fortegra's Alternatives Risk product lines.
- Develop quotes using established rating tools and underwriting methodology.
- Manage quote workflows to ensure timely delivery and responsiveness to agents and clients.
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM and track quote status through the pipeline.
- Coordinate policy issuance and compliance submissions upon bind confirmation.
- Proofread policies for accuracy prior to client delivery.
- Support bordereau file review for premium reporting, claims, and other business management needs.
- Collaborate with the broader underwriting team on analysis, reporting, and special projects.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience as an Underwriter.
- A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn the insurance business from the ground up.
- Knowledge of property and casualty insurance products is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Property & casualty insurance license is a plus but not required.
