Responsibilities
- Read and interpret written work orders, machining sheets and templates. Perform operations as required by these work orders and machining sheets to configure the doors.
- Notify Shop Supervisor of any discrepancies or defects.
- Demonstrate competence and working knowledge of each machine that you have been trained and certified to operate.
- Operate machines in a safe and efficient manner and perform periodic maintenance. Notify Shop Supervisor of any equipment problems or safety concerns.
- Perform assignments in the most efficient manner to maximize production and not jeopardize safety.
- Have a working knowledge of, and follow, all appropriate quality control guidelines.
- Notify Shop Supervisor when coming in late or leaving early.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Notify Shop Supervisor upon completion of daily work orders. Shop Supervisor may assign you to another task or ask you to begin working on the next day’s orders.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Performs work under general supervision.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
- Lift 1-30# frequently (up to 50% in an 8-hour day)
- Lift 30-60# regularly (up to 30% in an 8-hour day)
- Lift 60 # occasionally (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)
- Push/Pull 100# with assistance seldom (up to 13% in an 8-hour day)
- Kneel occasionally (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)
- Squat occasionally (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)
- Stoop frequently (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)
- Work with extended arms seldom (up to 13% in an 8-hour day)
