Sonographer

Job Overview

As a Sonographer, you’ll perform medical imaging that helps clinicians assess health and guide patient care. You’ll operate ultrasound equipment, capture diagnostic images, and support patients with clear, respectful communication throughout each exam. Your work may include prenatal, abdominal, gynecological, breast, vascular, and echocardiography studies, depending on clinical needs and your qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document ultrasound examinations, including prenatal ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, gynecological ultrasound, breast ultrasound, vascular ultrasound imaging, and echocardiography as assigned.
• Support maternal-fetal medicine, Ob/Gyn, and women’s health diagnostics through accurate imaging and attentive women’s health and reproductive patient care.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, position them appropriately, and follow aseptic technique and patient care standards.
• Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment; enter findings and exam details in electronic medical records/electronic health records (EMR/EHR) and manage images through picture archiving and communication systems (PACS).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, sonography, and diagnostic radiology principles.
• Ability to operate medical equipment and perform imaging procedures with attention to image quality and patient safety.
• Familiarity with vascular technology diagnostics and women’s health, reproductive care, and gynecology diagnostics.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach; experience with EMR/EHR and PACS is useful.
• Relevant sonography education, credentials, and experience may be required based on the role and applicable regulations.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
