Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs.
- Explain recommended repairs and maintenance services clearly, ensuring customers understand their options.
- Prepare detailed estimates using diagnostics knowledge and service writing skills.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and communicate updates to customers.
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, brake repairs, suspension work, and transmission services to maximize customer satisfaction and shop productivity.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper documentation of all service orders and payments.
- Maintain comprehensive records of equipment history, service notes, and customer interactions to ensure seamless follow-up.
Experience
- Proven service experience or service management background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment diagnostics, repair procedures, and technical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with estimating software and service writing processes is highly desirable.
- Experience in repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, diesel engine repair, and tire services is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Knowledge of repair specialties such as transmissions, oil changes, suspension work, brake repair, auto estimating, and sales enhances your fit for this role.
- Ability to handle cash accurately while managing multiple customer interactions efficiently.
