Essential Job Functions
- Assists in development of individualized and group training programs that address specific IT needs, such as software & hardware development, network administration, cybersecurity, data analysis, etc.
- Assists in development of engaging curricula and tools; including new hire and existing employee learning.
- Assists in development of and/or updates, implements and administers program learning.
- Standardizes all training documents, both internal to technology and external facing.
- Develops online training by working directly with different District business units to create videos of current business processes available online.
- Collaborates with external vendors, consultants, trainers, and experts to provide specialized or customized training solutions when needed.
- Implements effective and purposeful training methods, such as instructor-led training, e-learning, blended learning, coaching, mentoring, etc.
- Maintains training catalog, validates training attendance in District course management system.
- Determines system utilization requirements by researching and testing systems.
- Evaluates effectiveness of training for specific jobs.
- Develops an extensive working knowledge of product suites provided by the District.
- Assists with new software implementation to maximize use of the software.
- Stays connected on current learning/teaching trends and adopts innovative approaches to drive impactful, engaging learning for participants.
- Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensures equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing; operates tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Corrects unsafe conditions in work area and promptly reports any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.

- Accredited High School diploma, GED, or Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency required;
- Associate’s degree from accredited college or university in a related field preferred.

- Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in training or user support required.
