Position Purpose
The Coordinator, Curriculum & Instruction Operations & Planning is responsible for ensuring the effective execution, coordination, and continuous improvement of operational systems across the Curriculum & Instruction Division. This role serves as a central driver of division-wide operations, supporting budget monitoring and pacing, procurement and contract management, vendor coordination, and the development and execution of Curriculum & Instruction Board agenda items. Working closely with the Deputy Superintendent, the Director of Curriculum & Instruction, and division leadership, the Coordinator ensures that priorities are aligned, timelines are met, and work across departments is executed with precision, urgency, and accountability.

Essential Job Functions
- Coordinates and drives execution of division priorities across departments through influence and collaboration, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely follow-through without direct supervisory authority.
- Supports the coordination and execution of division-wide operations across Curriculum & Instruction, ensuring priorities are aligned, timelines are met, and work across departments is implemented with precision and accountability
- Monitors and manages budget pacing and operational timelines across the division, ensuring alignment to priorities, appropriate resource allocation, and timely execution of key initiatives.
- Oversees procurement processes, contract monitoring, and vendor coordination for Curriculum & Instruction, ensuring compliance with district requirements and timely execution of all purchasing activities.
- Coordinates the development and execution of Curriculum & Instruction Board agenda items, ensuring cross-department alignment, timely submission of materials, and high-quality deliverables.
- In close collaboration with the Director of Curriculum & Instruction, serves as a central point of coordination across all Curriculum & Instruction departments, ensuring clear communication, alignment of workstreams, and consistent follow-through on division priorities.
- Develops and manages project plans, timelines, deliverables, and status tracking for major initiatives, ensuring visibility into progress, risks, and next steps.
- Builds and maintains dashboards, tracking systems, and reporting tools to monitor operational performance, project status, and division-wide priorities in real time.
- Analyzes operational data, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, and implements solutions to strengthen division operations.
- Establishes and maintains systems and processes that improve coordination, communication, and execution across departments within Curriculum & Instruction.
- Serves as a problem-solving resource for complex operational challenges related to logistics, procurement, systems, timelines, and cross-functional coordination.
- Prepares reports, summaries, and briefings for the Deputy Superintendent, Director, and division leadership to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Supports implementation of operational tools, systems, and processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability of division work.
- Collects, organizes, and synthesizes data from multiple sources to support analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling and availability, including extended or adjusted work hours during peak operational periods, Board agenda item cycles, procurement timelines, and critical deadlines, to ensure timely and high-quality execution of responsibilities.
