POSITION PURPOSE
Provides a full range of accounting and clerical support for the Child Nutrition Service (CNS) programs. Maintains standard office files, initiates general correspondence, and performs routine administrative functions.
Essential Job Functions
- Assists in maintaining detailed accounting records for the CNS programs.
- Prepares and submits catering invoices.
- Assists in gathering financial reimbursement reports for local, state, and federal agencies.
- Assists in reconciling CNS bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
- Maintains the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications for CNS.
- Assists in year-end closing activities pertaining to CNS programs; assists in preparing any related adjustments and/or reclassifications.
- Assists with the preparation and filing of internal and external financial reports; ensures proper reporting.
- Helps with accounting data to resolve problems and/or discrepancies.
- Maintains office files in a systematic and confidential manner.
- Serves as liaison with other departments, customers, and vendors.
