Position Overview
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide outpatient medical and psychiatric care to adults receiving treatment for addiction and mental health conditions. The NP will evaluate clients, manage medications, monitor treatment progress, and collaborate closely with therapists and clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment planning
- Diagnose and treat substance use and mental health disorders
- Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness
- Order and review labs and diagnostic testing
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
- Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and clinical staff to support treatment goals
- Educate patients and families on medications, recovery, and health management
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when appropriate
- Participate in clinical meetings and care coordination
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current APRN / Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Indiana
- Experience in addiction treatment, psychiatry, or behavioral health preferred
- Strong patient-centered communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Experience with EMR systems such as KIPU preferred
