Start: $22.79/hr -> $26.81/hr within ~6 months
Paid weekly
2nd Shift: 3:10pm - 11:10pm (Mon-Fri)

What you’ll do
- Support Melt Shop manufacturing operations, from raw material preparation through ingot production and movement of materials through the shop.

Issue raw materials to production jobs using the ERP system.
- Weigh, record, mix, and compact raw materials with high accuracy.
- Operate compacting press and prepare compacts for melting.
- Weld compacts into electrodes and prepare them for the melt process.
- Operate band saws and milling equipment to prepare ingots and materials for processing.
- Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment to move materials weighing up to 4,000 lbs.
- Prepare and package materials for shipment and external processing.Assist with crucible cleaning, servicing, and preparation for melting operations.
- Follow all safety procedures and equipment operating requirements.
- Support general Melt Shop operations and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
What we’re looking for
- 2 years of manufacturing experience is required, preferably in melting or a melt-related field.
- Hands-on technical experience, including but not limited to mechanical, machine shop, fabrication, audio-visual, quality control/assurance, maintenance, inspection, or engineering experience may be considered in lieu of manufacturing.
- Knowledge of weight conversions and various measuring tools.
- Basic understanding of computer operation; ability to use and navigate Excel.

Work Environment
- Fast-paced production environment.
- Work hours consist of 40 hours per week.
- Required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Substantial reaching, bending, stooping and pulling during shift.
- Must be able to access all areas of operation, including second floors.
- Standing/walking most of shift.
- Visual Acuity.
