Production Associate – Assembler 2 - Up to $24.13/hr in 6 months - No Weekends

What you’ll do

Cut material to length by calculating length conversations to ensure material is properly cut and/or welded to appropriate lengths.
- Perform all decore techniques in order to remove inner core wire of HHS product to create a Hollow Helical Strand.
- Program and operate the Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM).
- Follow detailed work instructions, assembly drawings, blueprints, and procedures. The set up may include the use of fixtures, presses, and other similar equipment in order to produce material meeting specifications.
- Create setups and adjustments holding tolerances to specifications. Troubleshoot issues with the EDM and ECG equipment or any set-up parameter to produce parts to specification.
- Understand the operating features of the equipment used in the department and be able to effectively make adjustments to operating parameters of that equipment.
- Visually inspect material coming off resources, acting as first line inspection, to ensure quality of product. Take action for material not meeting quality expectations, as necessary.
- Use micrometers, calipers, tooling scopes, and other job specific measuring equipment to perform tolerance checks.
What we’re looking for
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- 1 year of applicable work or machine operator experience required.
- Ability to perform basic computer functions.
- Possess intermediate math, reading, and writing skills.
- Mechanical aptitude, preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Understand and apply safe work practices.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced production environment
- Work hours consist of 40 hours per week.
- Overtime may sometimes be required.
- Average weights in production range from 10-25 lbs. Maximum weights may exceed 75-80 lbs. on occasion.
- May be required to perform work above shoulder height.
- Frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting.
- Must be able to access all areas of operation.
