PURPOSE
The HR Business Partner: Operations will perform a variety of complex and specialized human resources activities involved in the completion of processing approved recommended personnel as well as internal movement of personnel and other processes that align with Federal, State, and Local Laws in accordance with Fort Wayne Community Schools policies and procedures. Review, process, evaluate, verify and track a variety of employee information. Prepare and maintain a variety of confidential manual and automated records assuring a high level of accuracy at all times.

Minimum Qualifications
- Any combination equivalent to high School diploma and four or more years’ in Human Resources
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership and Supervision or business-related field or commensurate experience, preferred
- Human Resources experience including working directly with employees in all aspects of an employee’s tenure during their time of employment, preferred
- Establish and maintain personnel files and records according to established policies and procedures; process and update records and files with new hires, transfers, salaries, evaluations, and other employee information.
- Maintain District-wide personnel allocations; coordinate the preparation and tracking of certified and classified allocations for District-wide funding sources.
- Serve as a technical resource to employees, unit heads, and others regarding assigned personnel functions; respond to inquires and provide detailed information concerning related records, files, allocations, standards, time lines, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for advising District personnel regarding the process of allocations, FMLA/ADA/Leave of Absence, benefit time, licensing, and other employee concerns.
- Understand union contracts and District employee policy booklets and be able to effectively communicate these policies and procedures with employees.
- Prepare employee hires, terminations, and internal moves for the School Board Personnel Report.
- Ability to understand how all elements and details of the process work together and identify and implement process changes to improve outcomes for the department, the district, and employees.
- In collaboration with the Supervisor of Operations, input and update a variety of employee information in an assigned computer system; establish and maintain automated records and files; develop spreadsheets and generate a variety of computerized documents and reports; verify accuracy of input and output data.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Administrator to meet the particular needs of the department and district.
