What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Library Worker, Customer Service position at Fort Vancouver Regional Library Business Office?

Assisting customers with questions about library services and technology
Creating or updating customer accounts
Shelving materials
Checking materials in and out
The ideal candidate will be flexible and have strong customer service skills and great attention to detail. This position frequently requires these physical abilities:
Lift up to 35 pounds
Push and pull book carts and book return bins on wheels
Bend, kneel, and reach to shelve books
Stand for extended periods of time

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Six months of working with the public in a customer service setting (such as working in a retail store)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this job is $17.55 - $23.69 per hour. Offers to new employees with 6 months of customer service experience are expected to be at $17.55 per hour.
Substitute employees receive one hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked.
