We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Handle heavy lifting of packages and materials as required during loading and unloading processes.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organization.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with route driving, manual transmission vehicles, and heavy lifting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy items regularly.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
