Division: Chief Finance Officer
Job Description:
Associate will perform various duties of operations, to include compiling and reconciling data and reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide in-person and by-telephone general and specific service related information concerning credit union products.
2. Work list assigned which will include reports that are ran daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually and processes from all functions of operations.
3. Examine EFT entries on documents for completeness and accuracy as well as correcting errors and calling members and other financial institutions to do so.
4. Review the daily report of un-posted checks to verify the status of members’ accounts, transferring money from any authorized source to pay checks on individuals’ accounts, marking checks to be returned indicating the reason for the return and notifying third party check processor.
5. Work in XP Systems, TranZact, Excel and Word, and other systems necessary.
6. Approve and file Wires and Western Unions.
7. Review, balance, process and return electronic files daily.
8. Responsible for Courtesy Pay Program and negative accounts.
9. Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems. Provides suggestions for improved service, efficiency, policy enhancement or recommended changes.
10. Return all Government reclamations.
11. Log and report all suspected fraudulent according to established procedures.
12. Review reports from the core system, governmental agencies and other sources to verify accuracy of data and compliance with regulations.
13. Able to handle situations in a calm and resolute manner.
14. Represent FSFCU in a courteous, efficient and professional manner at all times. Maintain positive attitude when dealing with members and co-workers. Work cooperatively in a team environment with other staff members.
15. Maintain professional appearance and good attendance.
16. Ensure highest level of accuracy and confidentiality in all credit union business.
17. Complete all required training programs.
18. Performs work-related duties as required or assigned.
19. Comply with BSA and Electronic Funds regulations when performing all job requirements, and stay abreast of updates/requirements of BSA/OFAC/CIP through the completion of training courses assigned annually by trainer as well as meetings discussing BSA compliance activities.
This position is a Monday-Friday job however; an occasional Saturday may be required. Position is mission essential and will be required to work on inclement weather days.
Skills:
This position requires the employee to work well with others, be extremely detail-oriented and be flexible with schedules and hours. Basic math and money, the ability to apply common sense and the ability to reason are expected. Good people skills as well as oral and written communication skills and alphabetizing are essential. 10 key by touch and typing skills are required.
High school diploma, equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, as well as the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos is required.

While performing this job, the employee is required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Standing and walking are occasionally required. The position requires lifting and moving up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and adjustable focus.
