What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher (25-26 School Year) position at Fort Osage School District?
We are looking for people dedicated to helping students learn in the absence of the classroom teacher.
Must hold a valid MO teaching certificate or MO substitute teaching certificate. Preference given to those with a valid current substitute certificate (or teaching certificate).
HOW TO OBTAIN A SUBSTITUTE CERTIFICATE:
- Completed 36 college credit hours from a DESE approved college or university and can pass a criminal background screening.
OR
- Must hold a high school diploma and complete a 20 hour course provided by Frontline Education System and can pass a criminal background screening.
Teacher Substitute
(Sub/Teaching Certificate Required)
Regular Teacher Substitute - $130.00 per day
Regular Long-Term Teacher Substitute - $160.00 per day
(eleven or more consecutive days in the same assignment)
Retired Teacher Substitute $145.00 per day
(substitute who retired as a certificated teacher)
Retired Teacher Long-Term Substitute - $175.00 per day
(eleven or more consecutive days in the same assignment)
- Incentive - $130(ten or more days in a calendar month)
Certificated Para Substitute

Regular Para Substitute - $115.00per day
Retired Para Substitute - $115.00 per day
(substitute who retired as a certificated teacher)
