Qualifications:
Certificate in a Social Studies area required
Current Certificated Teacher in a Social Studies area, secondary experience preferred
Ability to work with and lead teachers of Social Studies and other Content Facilitators District Wide
Minimum 5 years Experience with Social Studies Curriculum and Assessment required
Purpose:
To support Educational Services in curriculum planning, development, and implementation to benefit all Fort Osage School District students and staff.
Reports to:
Executive Director of Educational Services
Collaboration with Educational Services - Support the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services and Executive Director of Educational Services in planning and facilitating curriculum; content, meetings, and duties as assigned.
Content Team Facilitator - in collaboration with Educational Services; plan, lead, and facilitate meetings and curricular work in your designated curriculum area. The Content Facilitator will be responsible for keeping content teams on target for the Curriculum Review/Revision Cycle.
Curriculum materials - in collaboration with Educational Services, building administration, and teachers; research, curate, and generate curriculum materials to support Teaching and Learning in your designated curriculum area. Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of all district curriculum resources - curriculum documents, instructional resources, assessment tools, etc.
FORT Curriculum Drive - in collaboration with Educational Services maintain Curriculum Drive materials in your content area. Facilitate the access of Curriculum Drive materials to content teams (admin and teacher teams) working on curriculum.
FORT Curriculum Website - in collaboration with Educational Services review the Curriculum webpage and make necessary changes and adjustments in real time.
District Instructional Resource - in collaboration with the Office of Educational Services, the Content Facilitator will review and maintain the instructional resources and materials available to Fort Osage Staff.
Collaborate with the entirety of the Educational Services Team which includes the Assistant Superintendent, Executive Director, other Content Facilitators, and Instructional Facilitators.
PDC Participation - collaboration with the District Professional Development Committee throughout the year.
Other Functions:
In collaboration with Instructional Facilitators, the Content Facilitator, will support the learning and growth of new instructional staff by department. Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functions of the role.
Regular attendance and contribution to various district meetings, including but not limited to; PDC, Instructional Facilitator, Curriculum Content Teams, and Educational Services.
