Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care
- Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, diagnosing dental conditions, and developing tailored treatment plans
- Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate effectively with patients and team members about diagnoses and treatment options
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
- Operate dental imaging equipment and interpret results to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to uphold a safe clinical environment
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
- Manage medical records meticulously, ensuring all treatments are documented clearly and accurately for future reference
Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures
- Hands-on experience with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is required
- Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate treatment plans clearly
