Fort George is Hiring for a Nights/Weekend Part-Time Host

Fort George is hiring a host. This position assists the Front of House on the floor by greeting customers, taking reservations or wait list parties using our reservation app, dispersing menus, seating guests, serving food, handling phone calls, answering guest questions, and any other related functions. . This is an entry-level position that works with urgency and manages the seating of our dining space. Varying schedule to include weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.

Wage: $18.00/hour tips

Essential Functions:

• General
• Welcome and greet customers
• Guide our customers to the space that fits their needs
• Provide guests with food and beverage menus
• Seat customers, dispersing customers evenly amongst sections
• Take reservations and wait-list guests
• Serve food and any food-related necessities
• Clear, clean, and prepare tables for new customers
• Assist servers with N/A beverage service
• Perform shift change duties to ensure a successful transition for the next shift
• Perform side work or closing tasks as directed
• Maintain host area cleanliness
• Ability to access scheduling app, communication app, and payroll app
• Communication
• Communicate with servers/managers to ensure server sections are running smoothly
• Answer phone calls and guests' questions
• Attend all scheduled meetings and mandatory events
• Communicate with managers and team members on our communication app
• Keep informed about company news via weekly newsletters and our communication app
• Ability to successfully communicate and exchange information with guests and coworkers

Who We Are Looking For:

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Must be able to read labels on chemicals
• Valid Food Handlers card required (must be obtained within 30 days from the first date of employment)
• Knowledge of the workplace and safety procedures
