Responsibilities
- Assist the Food Service Manager with all duties assigned
- Assist with preparing and cooking a variety of menu items, including entrees, sides, and special dietary options, adhering to recipes and portion controls.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic workspace at all times.
- Assist with menu planning based on ingredient availability and dietary needs.
- Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and ordering food supplies.
- Ensure proper food storage practices are followed to prevent contamination and spoilage.
- Provide attentive guest service.
- Support the team in maintaining a smooth kitchen operation during busy meal times through effective time management and teamwork.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a dietary aide or in a food service environment is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated cooking techniques and skills.
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is essential.
- Experience in menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume food production is advantageous.
- Background in restaurant or catering environments that require precise food handling and quality control.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency operating various kitchen equipment are necessary for efficient meal preparation.
- Prior work within the food industry that highlights your ability to deliver high quality food service under pressure.
- ServSafe Certification or willing to get certified.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
