Hospice Aide

FORT BEND HOSPICE & PALLIATIVE CARE is seeking a Hospice Aide to join our team in Spring, TX. (Northside of Houston)

Position Summary:
The Hospice Aide is a position that provides support to the hospice team through the provision of basic healthcare services to patients and/or families in their homes or other locations. This support may include basic care, medication administration, or other tasks necessary to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide support and assistance to patients and their families in their homes. assisted living facilities, personal care homes.
• Assist patients with mobility, rest, etc.
• Assist patients with dressing, bathing, etc.
• Perform routine checks and observations of patient
• Monitor patients’ mood and report on their progress
• Assist nurses with preparation, dressing, and placement of meals when needed
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of basic nursing care practices — good bedside manner; knowledge of temperature regulation; knowledge of food preparation and plating; knowledge of equipment installation and maintenance; knowledge of infection control guidelines for patient care facilities)
• Ability to be a team player — work with others to achieve common goals; take initiative when needed; follow directions; work independently; ability to problem solve under pressure; flexibility — ability to change or adjust work activities according to changing conditions; problem solving skills; ability to work productively with minimal supervision; ability to handle conflict effectively; attention to detail.
• Valid CNA License
• CPR Certified
• Minimum age 18 years old.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
