Librarian I-Academic Liaison-University Library
- Assists with teaching Library orientations and Research Skills to students and public library patrons.
- Assists with teaching coordinated library instruction on campus, as requested by individual instructors and faculty.
- Designs and prepares presentations, handouts and content for Library orientations, Research Skills and coordinated library instruction.
- Interacts with the library patrons to assist them in selecting materials or meeting informational needs.
- Responsible for the library instruction in the absence of the Academic Liaison.
- Responsible of transfers and materials placed on reserve by students, instructors and faculty in the absence of the Academic Liaison.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited school; knowledge of current library practices and technologies.
- 2 years of job related experience.
- Computer skills, good verbal and written communication, organizational skills. Good interpersonal skills and ability to assist patrons of varying educational levels; and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, students, faculty, staff and elected officials. Ability to complete assigned projects in a timely manner.
SALARY: 25.71 - 32.14/ Hourly
