Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Fort Belvoir, VA. The Public Safety Dispatcher will be responsible for receiving and prioritizing emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching appropriate emergency and law enforcement personnel, and ensuring communication is clear and effective. The role requires maintaining detailed records, adhering to established procedures, and providing critical support for emergency response operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring public safety and operational efficiency during emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Emergency Medical Dispatch and Emergency Services operations
- Experience in Dispatching and effective coordination of resources
- Exceptional Communication skills for clear and concise communication during high-pressure situations
- Familiarity with Law Enforcement protocols and procedures
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick, informed decisions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience working in emergency response settings preferred
- Relevant certifications in public safety or emergency dispatch are a plus
