Forsyth R-III School District is looking for reliable school bus drivers to join our team. As a school bus driver, you will be responsible for transporting students to and from school and extracurricular events, following a scheduled route and ensuring the safety of all passengers.
Your duties will include conducting pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition, observing safety and traffic rules during the journey, and maintaining order and discipline among students on the bus.
Additionally, you will be expected to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
Overall, your role as a school bus driver is crucial in providing safe and reliable transportation for students, contributing to their educational experience.
Responsibilities
- Transport children and other passengers to and from school
- Obey all traffic laws to ensure students arrive to their destination safely
- Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times
- Ensure the safety of all students when entering and leaving the bus
- Assist students with getting on and off the bus as needed
- Engage with students as they enter and leave the bus
- Ability to carry out assigned route on time
- Must maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License
