Position Overview
The Senior IT QA Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital products and services across software, data, and AI/ML initiatives. This leader will define and execute a comprehensive QA strategy, champion a DevOps-driven culture of quality, and guide a high-performing QA team. The role requires expertise in modern testing frameworks, cross-functional leadership, and strong technical depth across software, data, and AI quality practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a holistic QA strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Foster a culture of proactive quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement within a DevOps environment.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing QA team with a strong automation and DevOps mindset.
• Design and oversee test strategies for functional, regression, performance, security, and usability testing.
• Integrate QA workflows into CI/CD pipelines and optimize automation frameworks.
• Select and implement effective testing tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and coverage.
• Establish data quality standards for all data pipelines and systems.
• Implement automated data validation, quality checkpoints, and governance processes.
• Monitor data quality metrics, identify anomalies, and lead root-cause analysis.
• Define testing protocols for AI models, including bias detection, fairness, explainability, and performance.
• Integrate model validation into deployment workflows and ensure adherence to ethical AI principles.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, data science, and operations teams.
• Stay current with emerging QA trends, tools, and best practices across software, data, and AI.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives aligned with DevOps principles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 years of IT Quality Assurance experience, including 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Hands-on experience implementing QA frameworks and automation in a DevOps/CI/CD environment.
• Experience with software testing, data quality validation, and AI/ML model evaluation.
• Familiarity with modern testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright), CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), and data quality tools (e.g., dbt tests, MLflow, EvidentlyAI).
• Ability to work on-site in Holland, MI, with up to 10% travel.
