Overview
We’re supporting a lead consumer goods organization is seeking a Data Scientist to join a high-profile analytics transformation initiative focused on modernizing enterprise machine learning platforms.
This role will sit at the intersection of data science, machine learning, and platform modernization, helping evolve production-grade analytics applications that support commercial decision making, product availability, and recommendation capabilities across a large-scale distribution network. Working closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders, you will be responsible for improving existing machine learning solutions, enhancing model performance and reliability, and helping establish modern data and ML engineering practices that accelerate business value.
Required Experience - Data Scientist
- 4 years of experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience building, evaluating, and improving predictive models using Python and SQL.
- Proven track record of taking machine learning solutions from concept through deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and complex business problems in a commercial environment.
- Ability to assess existing models, identify improvement opportunities, and modernize legacy analytics solutions without disrupting business operations.
- Strong understanding of model performance measurement, experimentation, validation, and monitoring best practices.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders including product, engineering, and business teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and recommendations to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Experience - Data Scientist
- Experience with Databricks, PySpark, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, or similar cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Exposure to MLOps practices including CI/CD, automated testing, model versioning, and monitoring.
- Experience supporting recommendation systems, forecasting, product availability, inventory, supply chain, or commercial analytics use cases.
- Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, or AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience working within consumer goods, retail, distribution, or supply chain environments.
