Do you love staying organized, solving problems, and working behind the scenes to keep a busy retail store running smoothly? Forstall Art Center is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to help manage the thousands of art supplies that inspire artists every day.
Responsibilities will include:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming merchandise
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts
- Monitor stock levels and identify items needing replenishment
- Organize backstock and maintain a clean, efficient stockroom
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Label, price, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor
- Work with vendors and purchasing staff on inventory needs
- Support store operations during busy periods
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Experience with retail inventory management (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Good computer skills and comfortable learning POS/inventory software
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders
- Strong math and problem-solving abilities
- A positive attitude and dependable work ethic
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in inventory control or warehouse operations
- Knowledge of art materials or a passion for the arts
- Retail experience
