What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fireplace and Outdoor Kitchen Installer position at Forshaw?
Forshaw of St. Louis is an installing distributor of hearth, patio, and barbeque products. We are looking for qualified candidates to join our installation team! On our team you will be asked to help service and install fireplace/patio products in customers' homes.
To get started you must:
- Have or Obtain Driver's License with Class 'E' certification
- Be able to pass a MO DOT exam including drug test
- Be able to communicate effectively with homeowners/customers
- Demonstrate ability to perform building material/product/appliance delivery, installation, or service

In the field, each day will be slightly different than the last. Installers and service technicians should be comfortable in the following situations, should the need arise:
- In residences, potentially attics, basements, and crawlspaces
- With customers and homeowners. Interacting and communicating positively to all customers is paramount
- Outdoors
This is a physical job. The requirements include:
- Lifting heavy product and equipment
- Traversing different terrain and houses in all weather environments
- Ability to operate and lift equipment (such as a ladder) that can weigh up to 75 pounds
- Ability to pivot work hours to six-day workweek during peak seasons
