Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to individual infants and toddlers that promote literacy, social-emotional skills, and physical development.
- Lead daily classroom activities that support childhood development milestones, ensuring a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
- Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and sensory activities with compassion and professionalism.
- Utilize positive behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior and address challenges constructively while maintaining a supportive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, developmental needs, and strategies for at-home reinforcement.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards, and best practices in childcare and preschool settings.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, special education needs, or other relevant pedagogies.
Requirements
- Valid ECE Degree (Early Childhood Education), or certifications such as ACDS and WVIT.
- Proven experience working with infants and toddlers in a classroom or daycare setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development, classroom management techniques, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, staff, and community partners.
