Job Summary:
Formweld Fitting, Inc is a pipe fitting manufacturing serve several industries, including the petrochemical and mining sectors. Our staff fabricates, to standard specification, wrought steel pipe fittings to customers on demand.
To support customer needs, we are looking for dependable and adaptable manufacturing personnel to join our production team in our PRESS DEPARTMENT to operate hydraulic presses to process 3/16" to 1" thick metal. The ideal candidate is reliable, flexible, and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
- Starting at $20 per hour, based on experience
Work Location:
- On-site, Non-Warehouse
Expected Weekly Hours:
- Up to 40 hours per week with occasional possibility of overtime (as needed and at the discretion of production managers)
- Days of Operation: Monday to Friday - Overtime can extend to Saturdays
- Daily Shift: 06:00AM to 02:30PM

Press Operator Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment and presses according to company standards.
- Take on additional production-related tasks as assigned to support workflow and minimize downtime.
- Accurately log work hours and job progress using the computer-based time clock system.
- Complete assigned work within estimated time frames while maintaining quality standards.
- Report equipment, safety, or production concerns promptly.
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and general production duties as needed.
- Use accurate measuring and guided math formulae to produce product.
- Operate a forklift to move heavy dies and product between departments and also arrange/install dies for use.
- Perform daily checks and basic maintenance on presses.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Position requires flexibility to support both direct production needs and overflow tasks.
Qualifications:
- Completed GED or High School Diploma - REQUIRED
- Previous experience in manufacturing/fabrication setting - REQUIRED.
- Basic computer knowledge required (logging time, task tracking, basic digital tools).
- Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt and take initiative.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and move materials as required.
Required Skills for Press Operator:
- Read, write, and speak English - all documentation, training, and communication is in English
- Ability to read tape measure down to a 1/16th of an inch
- Be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Able to work in various temperatures (our production building is not climate-controlled: it is hot during hot months and cold during cold months).
