Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
To supervise and coordinate daily activities of technicians, coordinate projects, and field inspect work activities. To insure efficient and effective services are performed at an economical level. Execute work schedules and plan resources to achieve optimal results.
II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Supervision - Oversee ISC Technicians to ensure their work meets management standards. Monitor quality by reviewing paperwork, visiting job sites, and assisting with tasks when needed. Perform audits on safety, performance, quality, documentation, and records. Lead by example in all areas of Information Systems maintenance.
Safety - Lead and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations to prevent injuries and near misses. Drive safety improvements, hold regular safety audits and meetings.
Cost Control - Manage Information Systems and department costs using monthly reports and work order data. Analyze cost variances, find inefficiencies, and recommend solutions. Identify budget needs, control overtime, and track costs against benchmarks.
Collaboration - Work closely with internal teams and outside contacts to meet department goals. Coordinate Information Systems activities with users, departments, and NJ IT.
Human Resources - Support employee development by encouraging teamwork, communication, and knowledge sharing. Set high performance expectations, conduct regular / annual evaluations, assign plans/goals, and provide coaching and delegation.
Training - Create and maintain training programs for new and existing ISC Technicians, covering both internal and external procedures. Keep training materials up to date. Ensure all staff complete training on time, and verify its effectiveness.
THM – Promote cleanliness and order through implementation of the Total House Keeping Maintenance program. Emphasize Nothing Touch Ground program and No Visual Pollution program. Maintain the plant like new condition.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
A. TECHNICAL JOB CRITERIA
1. Previous Related Experience Required
Five (5) years experience in Networking/Computers/Information Systems working in a team environment. Previous supervisory experience is a plus. Other technical certifications will be considered.
2. Technical Skills Required To Perform This Job
High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of five (5) years of direct job-related experience required.
4. Other Certification/Training Required To Gain Function-Related Technical Knowledge
1. IT administration knowledge. Working knowledge of Microsoft centric technologies
