Stainless Steel Polish Grinder

Summary: Working under the direct supervision of the Production Manager and Assistant Production Manager. This position consists of smoothing and shining the surfaces of various items. Depending on the item, you may do this by hand or using tools. While you are polishing pieces, you must keep an eye out for inconsistencies in the surface area or any potential safety issues (like sharp edges).

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Grinds/Smooth surfaces of formers, tubes, plates, spacers and other components.

· Polish items by hand or with pneumatic tools

· Looks for inconsistencies or potential safety issues

· Familiarized with our industry's materials, such as stainless steel and aluminum.

· Must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area

Non-Essential Job Duties:

· Must perform all other duties as assigned by supervision

Qualifications:

High School Diploma

General Labor (preferred)

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge Essential to the Position

· High school diploma or GED certificate preferred

· Polishing experience in the industry is strongly preferred (not required)

· Comfortable with repetitive tasks

· Attention to detail

· Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment is a Plus. (not required)

Physical Requirements

· Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

· Capable of standing for extended periods of time

· Must be able to walk & stand of long periods of time

· Must be able to stoop, bend, & reach

· Specific vision abilities of the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, ad ability to adjust and focus.

· Able to follow precise directions, procedures, adjust to environment and focus

Additional Requirements

· Shop hours are 7:00am – 3:30pm

. Minimal overtime with occasional Saturdays

· Pre-Employment drug screening and background check required

· 60-day probationary period is required

· Working assembly line

· Working in insulated warehouse
