Location: Irvine, CA (100% onsite, approximately 50% of time on test setup and operation)

What You’ll Do
- Set up battery cells into fixtures and testing systems following engineering direction.
- Register, label, and handle cells in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform daily maintenance and monitoring of ongoing battery lifetime testing.
- Review test data and progress; promptly report issues to cell engineers.
- Fabricate test fixtures, wiring harnesses, and other testing tools as directed by engineers.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures, present facility updates to the engineering team.
- Collaborate with laboratory equipment manufacturers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Follow all laboratory maintenance procedures and adhere to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment and instruments..
What You’ll Need
- Proficiency with general computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Remote Desktop Connection).
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and tool communication using Ethernet/IP and CAN protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail in handling samples and performing test setup.
- Hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, including experience with light machine tools, soldering, wiring, and harness fabrication.
- Skilled in using multimeters, soldering irons, wire strippers, and similar tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Awareness of safety procedures for working with high-voltage equipment and lithium-ion batteries.
- Strong problem-solving, creative, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
