Role Description - The Capital Markets Manager is a full-time, remote role. This position is responsible for sourcing, structuring, and managing debt and equity capital for build-to-rent projects. Day-to-day activities include investor and lender outreach, financial modeling and analysis for new developments, preparing investment memoranda and presentations, and coordinating due diligence materials for lenders and investors. The role involves maintaining relationships with capital providers, monitoring market conditions, and supporting negotiations of term sheets and transaction documents.
Qualifications
- Strong capital markets expertise, including experience with real estate debt and equity structures, lender and investor relations, and transaction execution.
- Advanced financial skills, such as real estate financial modeling (e.g., Excel, Argus or similar tools), underwriting, cash flow analysis, and sensitivity/scenario modeling.
- Knowledge of real estate development and investment, particularly in residential or build-to-rent communities, including familiarity with pro formas, budgets, and project timelines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare clear investment materials, reports, and memos for internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant professional designation (e.g., CFA, real estate certification) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and to build and maintain professional relationships with capital partners.
- Prior experience in real estate private equity, investment banking, or real estate finance is highly beneficial.
