What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foundations- Rebar Foreman position at Form-Up Foundations LLC?
- Supervise and direct rebar crews on commercial, industrial, and civil concrete construction projects.
- Read and interpret structural drawings, rebar shop drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members to meet project schedules.
- Verify proper placement, spacing, tying, and securing of reinforcing steel according to project requirements.
- Coordinate rebar installation with concrete, formwork, and other construction activities.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Monitor crew productivity and workmanship to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Identify and resolve field issues related to rebar installation and sequencing.
- Communicate project progress, manpower needs, material requirements, and schedule impacts to project management.
- Inspect completed work before concrete placement to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping records, and production tracking.
- Assist with workforce training, mentoring, and development of crew members.
- Coordinate equipment, tools, and material deliveries required for project operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in reinforcing steel installation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of structural concrete construction and reinforcing steel practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction specifications.
- OSHA 10/30 Certifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Proficiency in layout, measuring, and quality control procedures.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding construction environments.
- Must be capable of wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
