Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and outdoor spaces when applicable
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to ensure hygienic living environments
- Dust surfaces, vacuum carpets, mop floors, and care for flooring surfaces to maintain a polished appearance
- Use janitorial tools and cleaning equipment safely for tasks like carpet cleaning, floor care, and surface sanitation
- Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or appliances when necessary
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain proper documentation of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Experience
- Prior experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidates
- Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, and sanitation procedures
- Experience with cleaning detergents, janitorial equipment, carpet cleaning tools, and outdoor work is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with physical endurance
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their expectations
- Previous experience in residential housekeeping or custodial roles is highly desirable
