The Medical Records Assistant II is responsible for organizing, managing, and maintaining patient health records in compliance with facility policies, confidentiality regulations, and healthcare documentation standards. This role involves accurately entering patient data, filing records, processing requests for medical information, and ensuring records are complete, up-to-date, and easily accessible to authorized personnel. Medical Records Assistant II works closely with providers, administrative teams, clinical staff, and patients, demonstrating strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to data privacy and accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous medical office, medical records, or referral experience preferred. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients and staff. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, eCinicalWorks, etc.). Knowledge of state-specific medical record laws and legal processes. One year experience in Medical Records or equivalent experience/knowledge. Three years’ office experience.
Shift: Full Time, M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm
SALARY: $19.65 - $31.40/hour DOE
