Job Overview
Represent Forklifts of Des Moines by providing high-level customer service, and marketing all products and services offered by our company, to existing and prospective customers.
Responsibilities & Duties
Provide high-level customer service before and after the sale.
Maintain current Key & Target Account lists
Build and maintain professional relationships with contacts at Key and Target Accounts.
Prospect for new Key & Target Accounts.
Promote Forklifts’ products and services to Key/Target Accounts and prospects.
Make multiple calls per day, in-person, telephone, and e-mail. Minimum 15 customer interactions per day.
Use Salesforce to record and monitor customer interactions with Forklifts. Maintain customer contact information and log all calls & opportunities.
Complete costing and quotations for Sales-related opportunities. Assist with Parts/Service/Rental opportunities as-needed.
Assist walk-in customers as-needed.
Perform application surveys and trade surveys for any applicable opportunities, or per customer request.
Communicate your weekly itinerary with Forklifts’ staff.
Process weekly expense reports, turned in to office manager each week.
Provide annual sales forecast and assist with Forklifts annual marketing plan.
Continually improve your product, territory, application, and technology knowledge.
Assist accounts receivable on unpaid equipment orders.
Qualifications
- Clean drug screening
- Clean criminal record & valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficient in the use of computers, smart phones, Microsoft Office, and CRMs.
- Energetic, friendly, honest, and customer-oriented.
- Ability & willingness to work more than 40 hours, or outside of regular business hours when necessary.
- Ability and willingness to spend extended periods driving or in a vehicle (within approx. 2 hr. radius of DSM area).
- Keep vehicle properly maintained and presentably clean.
