Position Overview
The HVAC Assembly Technician II leads the assembly of complex HVAC and refrigeration systems for industrial coolant chiller equipment. This role provides technical direction, resolves complex build issues, and supports Engineering on manufacturability improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the assembly of complex HVAC and refrigeration systems, including build sequencing and risk identification.
Independently assemble and validate critical refrigeration and mechanical subsystems.
Troubleshoot complex and system-level HVAC and refrigeration issues.
Review completed assemblies for quality, performance, and compliance prior to release.
Provide technical guidance to other HVAC technicians and collaborate with Engineering.
Ensure all safety, quality, and production standards are met and maintained.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational or technical training preferred but not required.
Skills & Requirements:
Extensive experience in HVAC/R systems and industrial equipment assembly.
Advanced ability to interpret mechanical, piping, and refrigeration drawings.
Strong troubleshooting capability across refrigeration cycles and mechanical systems.
Proficiency with brazing, system preparation, and precision mechanical assembly.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and peers.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods.
Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $26.00-31.00 (1st Shift)
$29.90-35.65 (2nd Shift)
