Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with enthusiasm and genuine warmth, providing a positive first impression of the establishment
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests, ensuring smooth flow during busy periods
- Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, or special accommodations using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating plans and guest flow for maximum efficiency
- Uphold cleanliness and organization at the host stand and waiting areas, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Handle guest concerns or special requests professionally, demonstrating strong guest relations skills
Experience:
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a customer-first attitude above all
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Background in hospitality, hotel guest services, or serving roles enhances your ability to excel in this position
- Demonstrated ability to manage phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, guest services, and hospitality standards is a plus
- Ability to remain energetic, organized, and attentive during busy service hours
Restaurant Hours:
Fork & Spoon will be open from 7 -3 M-S, 7 days a week.
Host hours: Friday - Saturday - Sunday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
